About Extremadura

Welcome to the land of Conquistadores and the source of many of Spanish delicacies such as Iberian ham, Pimentón de la Vera, Torta de Casar & Ibores local sheep’s milk cheeses, EVOO made with Manzanilla Cacereña and of course vineyards – all by family-owned producers following sustainable farming practices.
Extremadura is a western Spanish region bordering Portugal and made up of the provinces of Cáceres and Badajoz.

Explore the Roman colosseum and amphitheater of Mérida (the largest discovery of ruins outside of Italy) during the morning and take a private cooking class in the afternoon, or perhaps enjoy a private guided tour of the historic quarter of Cáceres and have lunch at a Michelin-star restaurant. Enjoy the view of organically farmed vineyards from a hot-air balloon and a private winery tour at one of the region’s top producers and later on in the day enjoy lunch in the charming town of Trujillo, birthplace of Pizarro. And if your fancy is to explore all of this while getting off the beaten track, this is just the place for you – think star-gazing, biking, and bird-watching. Extremadura’s key towns are just 3 hours from Madrid or Lisbon airports or 2 hours from Sevilla, making it easy to combine with visits in nearby regions. Let us help you discover the history, nature and gastronomy of Extremadura.
